S5 Episode 4: The New Digital Citizenship 3.0 with LeeAnn Lindsey

Did you know that the concept of digital citizenship is evolving? LeeAnn Lindsey, from EdVolve, joins Danielle and Mary as they discuss the history of digital citizenship and where it is headed in relationship to student learning and access. Check out LeeAnn’s recent blog post on this topic titled, The Evolution of Digital Citizenship. LeeAnn also shares the connection between digital citizenship and the role it plays in creating equitable outcomes for all students in our school communities. Learning around digital citizenship doesn't end with this podcast. Join us this June at the Fourteenth Annual Teacher Leadership Institute where LeeAnn will share more about the cross-section between equity and digital citizenship. Listen in to hear more about the impact of digital citizenship and its connection to students’ daily lives, beyond our classrooms.

Being an educator in the 21st century is indescribably complex. There’s a constant pressure to meet standards and help students achieve, but there’s also a need to allow learners to color outside the lines in an effort to prompt creativity. To support educators along the continuum, the Center developed “3Ps in a Pod” to further dissect practice, policy, and passion in the field of education.
