Master Teacher Applications are Due Soon – Don’t Miss the Date!
Starting a Master Teacher program will improve your district, but you have to submit the materials on time.
Having a Master Teacher program in your district creates professional growth opportunities for teachers and advanced student learning. The benefits? More effective teaching, increased teacher retention, and more.
A Master Teacher program is a great way to strengthen the quality of your school, and the first step is to apply. This year, the deadline for submission is Jan. 30, but it isn’t just a matter of sending the application in — you have to make sure you have all the right materials.
When you send in your packet, you should include the following:
Your Executive Summary. This includes basic information, such as the name of your school or district, the amount of funding requested, and your vision for the program.
Current to Future State. This section describes the current ways you support beginning or experienced teachers and a detailed description of how you will meet key program objectives and priorities.
Measurement and Evaluation. Your application should outline the different methods you will use to measure and evaluate overall progress.
Budget and Narrative. The application should include an itemized budget and a narrative explaining how the money will be used in your program. There are guidelines about what funds can and can’t be used for, so definitely keep that in mind.
Make sure that you include all the correct materials in your packet. To learn more about the Arizona Master Teacher program, watch this short video.
