Four Funnies: Back-to-School Edition
Friday Funnies: Comedic moments that remind us why we’re crazy about weekends, but totally keen on our profession.
Maybe you’re a few weeks into the 2018–19 school year, or perhaps it’s your last weekend of summer freedom. Whatever the case, we know it might take a little laughter to keep your teacher cup full. Today, we kick off “Friday Funnies” to keep you laughing and loving your career during the year ahead.
Javier came home from school after the first day. His mom asked him what he learned. He answered angrily, "Not enough. They said I have to go back tomorrow!"
My teacher is a real joker. He came into class on the first day and announced that today was special, so we would only have a half day of class this morning. We all cheered! Then, he said we would have the other half this afternoon.
On the first day of school, my teachers always ask what I want to be when I grow up. It confuses me — they tell us to follow our dreams, but get mad when we fall asleep in class.
My parents always used to say, “Pardon my French,” when they had an angry outburst. On the first day of freshman year, my foreign language teacher asked if anyone knew any French. I’ll never forget the look on her face when I answered.
