Our Arizona National Board Academy is an event for NBCTs, CSPs, and district stakeholders dedicated to advancing this work in their district in the 2024-2025 school year. Participants will learn strategies to promote, recruit, support and lead National Board Certification efforts in their district. This event will have some of the things we typically hold in June (e.g., Pre-candidacy Class training, coaching candidates, etc.) as well as some new learning opportunities (e.g., learning from NBCTs who have created dynamic programs in their district, ethical candidate support, etc.). The goals of our Arizona National Board Academy are three-fold:

1. To prepare teams or individual CSPs to meet the needs of the school/district teams to promote, recruit, and support candidates for National Board Certification.
2. Connect district teams with other resources throughout the state.
3. To provide differentiated support to schools and districts.

Participants will learn from some of Arizona’s most talented NBCTs and educators. Time will be provided for district teams to create a plan. This event will have a blend of large and small group sessions where participants will learn the latest updates from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards to taking a deep dive into the most current candidate data gathered by the Arizona K12 Center. There will also be time for individuals and teams to plan and collaborate.

Our Arizona National Board Academy will begin Wednesday, June 12th at 10:00AM and end on Thursday, June 13th at 3:00PM. 

Participants will

• Learn new strategies to promote, recruit, support, and lead National Board Certification.
• Connect with district teams to network and learn strategies and ideas that yield results.

Create a plan unique to the needs of their district for the 2024-2025 school year.
